All Affiliates benefit from 17.5% commission on every GEM sale made, but if you make more than 20 sales (per calendar month) we will give you 20% commission for that entire month.

We also have a programme set up for cash back websites – and we are happy to this discuss further with affiliates who would like to join.

Can you give a brief overview of your company?

Originally established in 1932 as the Company of Veteran Motorists to combat the increasing number of road accidents, GEM Motoring Assist is the UK’s leading driver based Road Safety association with around 75,000 members. All set a good example on the road by agreeing to drive with care, courtesy and concentration.

Since its introduction in 1978, our low cost Breakdown Cover has always been popular amongst members. One phone call to our 24 hour Rescue Control Centre and a trained operator will quickly arrange assistance from one of our nationwide network of over 6,000 recovery vehicles.

What makes your company stand out from the competition?

GEM Motoring Assist has been named a Which? Recommended Provider for breakdown services.

GEM is the UK’s leading provider for roadside assistance as voted by Auto Express readers in the Driver Power Survey, 2011, 2010 and 2008 and runners up in 2012 and 2009.

What is your website's target market?

Drivers of cars, motorbikes, motor homes and caravans. We also cover small trailers attached at the time of a breakdown. We also cover motor caravans and motor homes that are under 3000cc and do not exceed 7 meters (23 feet) in length (including any extra fitments). HGV’s, LCV’s, minibuses and American left-hand drive vehicles are not covered.

Can you give more details of which areas you cover?

We have a network of over 1400 independent Recovery Operators spread throughout the UK. This means that over 6,000 vehicles are available to ensure fast, efficient service wherever you are.

What are your key selling points?

24 hour assistance, 365 days a year
40 minute average response time
Covers you driving any vehicle
Free Accident Management Service

Are there any seasonality trends that we should know about?

In brief, the answer is no. A vehicle can let you down at anytime of the year. GEM breakdown cover obviously operates 24/7 throughout the whole year and with an all year round average response time of 40 minutes we always aim to provide the best possible help in the fastest possible time. Whether the car is being used to take the family on holiday in August, to visit relatives at Christmas, or to collect the children from school in March a breakdown can be very traumatic. Members of GEM can be reassured that help will only be a phone call away.

What is your proposition to affiliates?

We’re offering Affiliates 20% commission if they make 20 + sales through their channels. Anything below 20 sales they will receive 17.5% in commission.

What creative’s and resources do you have available for affiliates?

We provide our Affiliates with a vast range of creative’s, from banners, sky scrapers, buttons, boxes and detailed website copy and an email template too. If Affiliates have any specific requirements for their websites we are willing to provide this.

The GEM Motoring Assist programme is on the AffiliateFuture network.  To join the programme, please email their account manager, John Vickers, at
