A4u Programme of the Week: Gap and Banana Republic

A4u Programme of the Week: Gap and Banana Republic

Name: Gap and Banana Republic

Contact: Melanie Scheibner

Can you give us a quick overview about the Gap and Banana Republic programme?

Gap and Banana Republic are well known international brands, since 1969 Gap has been providing customers with clothing and accessories that are known for style, quality and value. Banana republic is the newer of the two brands but is well respected for delivering classic tailoring and design in luxury fabrics at approachable prices. We try to reflect this ethos in all of our marketing including our affiliate programme.

To continue the tradition of service that Gap and Banana Republic are known for, we’ve built an affiliate programme with the customer at its heart. Consumers can shop easier and faster on our programme as we combine all items from both brands into one shopping cart. Not only is it easier for consumers, it means that publishers who join one programme will automatically join both and have the opportunity to promote and earn commission from both brands.

Your programme is available internationally, what countries is the programme available in?

As an international brand we offer shipping to over 20 European countries and our sites are available English, German, Dutch and Spanish. For just £4 delivery we ship to Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the UK.

What resources/commission does Gap and Banana Republic offer its affiliates?

We try to provide our affiliates with a wide range of tools to help them promote the Gap and BR programmes. This includes basic commission of 7% for Gap and 10% for Banana Republic, regular incentives and optimisation campaigns as well as CPA increases and tenancy placements throughout the year.

We provide bespoke commission rates for content sites and have a variety of widgets that can be integrated to feed up to date prices into banners. Both brands have product feeds so publishers always know the latest items on offer as well as updating on sales and flash sales from us.

Mobile is another big element for us and we ensure this is tracked through our affiliate network, Commission Junction. This means publishers are guaranteed their deserved commission when promoting our brands through mobile apps.

Can an affiliate obtain exclusive voucher codes for their users? If so, how should they go about it?

Yes, of course. However, we do allocate bespoke vouchers on an ad hoc basis and it will depend on the affiliate and how many incremental sales will be driven to the brand, but we’re always open to these discussions.

Anything else our readers should know?

We have a team based in house, but our affiliate programme is run exclusively through Commission Junction. If anyone is keen to know more here are the best contact details for our affiliate teams who are always on hand to answer questions and discuss more about the programme: or
