A4u Programme of the Week: McAfee

Name: McAfee

Contact: Trevor Hunter

What are some developments that McAfee have seen this year that put them ahead of their competitors?

As consumer’s online lives shift from accessing the internet and social media via laptops and PCs to a multi-platform (Desktop, Laptop, Smartphone & Tablet) world so do the threats they face shift. That’s why we’ve released McAfee All Access which is a way for a customer to secure their digital lives and allows them to protect their phones, tablets, and PCs with one annual subscription.

When All Access is combined with the McAfee Techmaster service, which can be a phone based IT support service for you household, McAfee can not only secure all a customer’s devices but also help troubleshoot issues they face. This is market leading software to protect and facilitate a customer’s life.

What does this mean for their affiliates?

More products to sell with a higher average order value and more ways to sell them. In the coming months our affiliate programme will be evolving into a multi-channel, multi-platform sales system. We have dedicated PC, Mac, Mobile, Family Protection and Internet Security products which can be made available to affiliates to sell.

What resources/commission does McAfee offer it's affiliates?

Our commission rates start at 15-20% dependent on type of affiliate and country which can work out to be a very profitable sale for the affiliate on a £74.99 or €99.99 transaction of McAfee All Access. Resources available include cart links & landing pages which can be customized, content from our PR team, and standard graphics and artwork to be used on the affiliate site.

Are there any exciting developments coming up for McAfee?

McAfee Mobile Security will become increasingly relevant as more security issues emerge around smartphone and with a £29.99 price point compares favourably to other mobile software products for an affiliate.
