MyDeco To Exit Affiliate Marketing & Set Up eCommerce Store


With the move that's set to bring MyDeco in line to compete with furniture retailers, this venture capital backed dot com will be relaunching as an eCommerce merchant, cutting out the current 1,500 partners they work with through Affiliate Programmes and instead trading through a 'leaner group of tightly edited traders', with transactions to be taken through it's own website.

Moving away from a product feed driven affiliate website, where millions of products are showcased within the MyDeco website, must mean that by moving their focus to an eCommerce arm the Affiliate model isn't as profitable as the merchant route for their vertical.

After speaking to a few networks within the industry, we were told that MyDeco charged a high price for their commercials, with many retailers classing the tenancies and payment models as overly expensive, which may have provided an added reason why MyDeco and their investors decided to move away from the CPA / hybrid model.
