Legal and General (L&G;) has a number of offerings within it's programme. Can you let us know about them and also the relevant commission payments?

"That’s true, in fact there are three L&G; programmes on CJ. We have Life Insurance and Over 50s Life Insurance, Home Insurance and Investments. Commissions range from £50-£110 on Life, £25-£55 on Home and £50-£85 on Investments. One thing publishers won’t want to miss out on is the Everyman charity campaign we’re currently running.

"In November for every Life Insurance, Life Insurance with Critical illness or Over 50s policy, Legal & General will donate £10 to the Everyman Appeal. The Everyman charity raises funds for prostate cancer research at The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR). Commissions have been increased for all non-cashback sites during November to £150 on Life insurance and £200 on Over 50's Life insurance. Creative and copy are available upon request. Current EPC is £6.30 based on the last two weeks worth of data."

What types of affiliates can benefit from your programme, and which types are you looking to attract to your programme?

"We have a broad range of publishers on each programme and see particularly good results, not only from incentive and voucher sites but also from comparison, email, software and content/advice sites. We’re also really keen to understand the opportunities offered up by CJ’s Pay Per Call solution.

"We have also found that lifestyle sites perform well for life insurance and home insurance due to the similar target audience. Therefore we would also encourage not just the traditional financial sites but those in other sectors as well."

You've recently moved your affiliate programme over to the CJ network. What were the main reasons for this transition?

"Essentially Legal & General assigned Commission Junction as their sole network because they answered the brief almost perfectly during the pitch process. Account support, call tracking and the success of Commission Junction's affiliate hub were extremely appealing to us along with the experience they had in growing financial programmes. All three parties, agency, network and client immediately jelled and we are looking forward to improving on an already great programme."

Legal & General exhibited at a4uexpo London recently - how did you find the event?

"The event was very different to 2010 and we think the change of location definitely provided more opportunities for networking in and around the exhibition hall. We met a selection of exciting potential partners that we look forward to adding to our 2012 plans. The sessions were definitely more impressive this year, some controversial but it made for great viewing! As always the parties were fab and we all suffered with the usual sore heads on Wednesday morning.

Anything else our readers should know?

"Yes, we do have a few things in the pipeline as well as the Everyman Campaign. We are looking to add another product to our Over 50s market, and will be further investigating our value attribution model to ensure affiliates who influence sales are rewarded accordingly.

"Christmas will be a focus for our home insurance product so look out for communications surrounding this. We will be getting our current partner base involved in planning sessions throughout November and December in preparation for Q1 ISA season and we also hope to have our brand new affiliate hub up and running for 2012.
