Our client is an award-winning employee benefits provider with over ten years’ experience of delivering market leading programmes to over 300 employers and affinity organisations. The company offers exclusively negotiated retailer discounts via a closed audience portal. An exciting opportunity has now arisen for an Affiliate Relationship Manager to take responsibility for the quality and variety of suppliers promoted via their website.
This is the ideal position for a commercially aware, driven business development professional looking to work in an exciting and constantly evolving sector dealing with the UK's top retail brands.
As an Affiliate Relationship Manager, you will possess the enthusiasm and confidence to source both new third party suppliers and nurture relationships with existing partners.
Working closely with the Marketing Team, you will take responsibility for the diversity of brands and categories within our client's website and how they contribute to the overall proposition and portfolio.
You will ensure that users have seamless journeys throughout their purchasing experience. Analysis of the effectiveness of offers through digital and offline communication channels will also form a proportion of your role.
Your other duties will include:
- Contacting new targeted suppliers from cold leads
- Developing an awareness of retail brands, buying trends and seasonal triggers
- Creating and maintaining strong business relationships
- Monitoring usage and uptake rates for offers and providing feedback
- Achieving team and business objectives
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- At least two years' telephone sales or business development experience
- A demonstrable commercial awareness and ability to negotiate with suppliers
As an Affiliate Relationship Manager, you must have an excellent telephone manner coupled with strong communication and negotiation skills. Tenacious and confident, you must have the ability to engage clients and present in a face-to-face capacity as well as possessing plenty of sales acumen to identify the best deals.
Prior experience of dealing with the UK's top retail brands would be an advantage to your application. Experience within the online discount market, an affiliate partnership scheme, advertising sales, sponsorship or events and/or exhibition sales would also be beneficial. Familiarity with Google Analytics and CRM tools would also be favourable.
