The Business Development Manager’s overall responsibility is to develop and bring existing partnerships to the next level by servicing clients, identifying and implementing new campaign opportunities to deliver extra revenue and new business for both clients and the company.

Your Mission

  • Building a strong personal and trusting relationship with the client, going beyond traditional reactive account management
  • Analysing campaign's data and optimising accounts
  • Identify opportunities for deeper relationships with existing customers to grow lifetime value
  • Consulting and providing clients with expert advice to develop the best fit marketing strategy
  • Upselling to existing accounts i.e. splitting campaigns according to client CRM logic, reach/prospect campaigns, Facebook campaigns, loyalty campaigns, cross campaigns
  • Creative and proactive thinking to optimise and upsell campaigns (thinking out of the box)
  • Collect customer feedback and communicate their needs to the relevant product development team within sociomantic
  • Report on the status of sales processes with regards to both existing and potential customers on a regular bases
  • Plan and manage personal business portfolio/territory/business according to an agreed market development strategy
  • Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems, and update relevant information held in these systems
  • Identify and evaluate advertiser’s needs with potential to benefit from sociomantic’s solutions
  • Develop new strategies for obtaining new business/clients and transfer these strategies onto sales and business development team
  • Identifying, monitoring and reporting on new trends across countries to expand knowledge base of the sales and business development team
  • Devise and create systems to communicate such trends through graphical and statistical means
  • Cooperate on writing industry white papers and research regarding trends
  • Plan approaches and pitches for new prospects
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
  • Attend and present at meetings and trainings to discuss business development, customer services, optimising product usage, educate clients on historical (vertical) trends and future developments
  • Formulating ideas and strategies which can be translated into technical solutions for our clients
  • Participation in industry trade events and other marketing initiatives

Your Track Record

  • 5+ years’ experience in Account Management/Business Development (ideally in display advertising or performance marketing sectors)
  • Strong understanding of the online media and marketing industry
  • Ideally a Degree in business, economics, marketing, communication or similar, or equivalent business experience
  • Extensive business network and solid references
  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of sales success
  • Ability to “translate” complex technology processes into meaningful solutions that address business needs
  • Fluency and strong communication skills in written and spoken English
  • Other languages beneficial
