London is one of the world’s greatest capital cities and is the perfect backdrop to play host to the international celebration of performance marketing showcased at PerformanceIN Live. With so much to explore, the PI LIVE team has put some suggestions together should you have any extra time up your sleeves.

Eating

First up on the recommendations list is Hutong, located within the iconic The Shard – our account manager Chris can’t recommend enough. With panoramic views of the capital’s skyline and diverse Chinese cuisine, what’s not to love?

On the other end of the spectrum, PI LIVE’s event manager, Sophie suggests a stop to the recently crowned ‘Top Gastropub 2017’ – The Harwood Arms. Located in the back streets of Fulham, the pub showcases the very best of British produce.

Other recommendations from the team include a trip to Sushi Samba – not only is the food incredible, you also get stunning views of the city, and Chotto Matte offering the best of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine.

Sights

Seasoned Londonite, Monika, PI’s news and features reporter, suggests simply walking around the historic suburb of Greenwich – home to a World Heritage Site, The O2, and London’s oldest Royal Park.

A trip to the museum was also a team favorite, with our top picks being the V&A, Science and Natural History museums – each warrant at least half a day to explore to immerse you in their fantastic journeys throughout history.

Our event manager, Kizzy, can’t get enough of London’s many markets – from Portobello, Borough to Maltby Street markets – you’ll get lost in traders selling their wares including the best of local produce to antiques and bargains.

Top Tips

Taking the river bus instead of the tube comes recommended by our office manager, Saskia. The journey between Canary Wharf and Embankment covers lots of key monuments and the 25-minute journey is not to be missed.

Another travel tip comes from our designer, Jon – make sure you buy your pre-paid visitor Oyster card as it offers great value traveling on London’s many public transport options and comes with exclusive offers and discounts in restaurants, shops, museums and more.

And finally, don’t miss out on exclusive accommodation rates at the show hotel – Hilton London Bankside. Not only do attendees make great savings, this scenic walk over the river Thames showcases some of London’s most visited landmarks including The London Eye, Tower Bridge and the Tate Modern.
