Infographic: An Examination of India’s Mobile Boom

Last year was a significant one for India’s mobile economy - the repercussion of this being a wealth of opportunity for advertisers and cross-border retailers, who might see value in appealing to the world’s third-largest smartphone market.

While we’ll naturally refrain from labelling 2015 as ‘the year of the mobile’, the stats from India really do speak for themselves. According to a new infographic from InMobi and Tune, two firms with ties to the world of mobile advertising, 26.3% of the Indian population has a smartphone, equating to a potential audience of 167.9 million.
