Movers and Shakers: May 2015

As we tick into the third quarter, Movers & Shakers returns to reel out the job changes PerformanceIN caught on the grapevine throughout the month of May.

It was a big month for CJ Affiliate by Conversant, which announced the end of Kerri Pollard’s reign as president after 16 years.

Pollard is succeeded by Waleed Al-Atraqchi, who most recently served as president at Nielsen-owned marketing optimisation software provider Affinnova.

Mobile advertisers Millennial Media announced Ernie Cormier as new chief operating officer. Cormier served as president and CEO of Nexage, joining Millennial Media’s board of directors after it acquired the former in 2014.

But as one steps in, another steps out: Todd Tran left his post as Millennial Media’s former managing director of international to join video ad company Teads, where he takes the title of global SVP of programmatic and mobile.

Niche skills

Native ad platform Outbrain named Yuval Ben-Itzhak as chief technology officer, having served in the same capacity at AVG Technologies.

Responsible for research and development of its ad fraud detection offering, Mike Andrews joins Forensiq as chief scientist, leaving behind a principal data scientist role at audience insights specialist Collective.

Cloud marketing platform Emarsys has taken on Tomás Puig as chief marketing officer, bringing technical knowledge from his former post at WP Engine and a long background in Silicon Valley’s tech scene.

Strengthening its creative outlay, customer engagement agency Indicia has appointed Barry Redford as lead designer, while ad tech company Magnetic announced a new chief financial officer in Mark Pinney, who has seasoned financial experience in the technology space.

Looking to capitalise on the city’s growing ad tech scene, Quantcast has installed regional director Steve Beckwith to head up its new Manchester office, having joined the company in February from a role at Yahoo! as agency account manager.

Omni-channel data company Ensighten has enlisted the services of Ian Woolley to lead the company’s growing European team as general manager EMEA. Boasting 20 years experience in the industry, Woolley leaves behind a post as chief commercial officer at Visual DNA.

Formerly business development director at mobile advertising company InMobi, Rick Knott has joined Celtra as regional director, APAC, to lead the display ad company’s activities in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong.
