Performance Marketing Insights has today revealed its second keynote speaker for next month’s two-day conference in Berlin. Former Apple creative director Ken Segall will take to the stage on day one to talk about the ultimate competitive weapon: simplicity.

Ken worked closely with Steve Jobs for 12 years, when the two men spearheaded simplicity within Apple – fine-tuning products, interfaces, advertising and brand.

The man who put the ‘i’ in iMac and led the way for naming future Apple products will examine the power of questioning every decision, asking why each aspect of a product or advert exists. Ken will discuss rules that can be applied to gain an edge in today’s hyper-competitive landscape, pan-industry and demographic.

Tip of the iceberg

Ken’s session is the tip of the iceberg of a diverse agenda, featuring speakers from the industry’s leading networks, agencies, tech providers, publishers and advertisers.

Whether it’s iProspect’s global strategy director talking about the ‘content consumer’ or Ingenious Technologies’ chief operating officer putting performance metrics under the microscope; IPG Mediabrands’ chief social officer explaining how to overcome the crash in organic reach or Media Markt’s head of digital decrypting the single customer view, this year’s conference agenda continues to stretch the boundaries of performance marketing.

Astrid Canevet, advisory board member and RetailMeNot’s senior corporate communications for Europe, said of the line-up:

“This year’s conference program has a great line-up of speakers from leading brands which bring real expertise to the table and which cover the hot topics marketers are dealing with today such as mobile, big data, personalization, multi-channel marketing, but also include specifics such as attribution, basket abandonment or the evolving landscape of digital PR.

“There is a lot that industry representatives can get out of this event.”

The second day of the conference will see a further keynote session, delivered by marketing technologist Mike King.

As founder of iPullRank, an agency that specialises in content strategy, audience research, social media, SEO and marketing automation, Mike has pioneered content strategies with some of the world’s biggest brands.

Now he wants to share that knowledge with you, with his session vowing to overhaul content marketing as we know it and revealing how you can develop your own content strategy to stand a cut above the rest.

Must-attend networking offerings

The take-home insights the agenda will deliver form just one aspect of what will be on offer in Berlin; with networking and the opportunity to meet with the industry’s leading names a key part of every Performance Marketing Insights conference.
