As the financial calendar flips into Q2, PerformanceIN looks over what was a bustling month of job updates from start to finish.

The beginning of March saw Rakuten Marketing’s Tony Zito promoted to CEO. Zito’s move to helmsman comes after a three-year stint at the company, having joined as chief revenue officer after its purchase of mediaForge.

Also this week, global affiliate solutions provider CJ Affiliate by Conversant installed Anne Delhon as the group’s country manager for the UK, where she will report to European managing director Charles Delamain.

Agency hires

Elsewhere in March, GroupM’s MediaCom unit named Toby Jenner as worldwide COO. The promotion follows Jenner’s role in securing new business contracts worth nearly $6 billion since 2013, while in the position of global business development and marketing officer.

Global analytics and technology specialist Media iQ announced former Starcom MediaVest Group CEO Stewart Easterbrook as a new addition to its board. Easterbrook has worked with Media iQ as a strategic advisor since September last year.

Media iQ also welcomed Chris Emme into the newly created post of EVP, sales and business development, North America. Emme will lead his team across sales, client services and business development to build relationships with partners and agencies.

Data-based

Analytics platform Metamarkets welcomed Jim Payne to its board of directors. Payne is the founder and former CEO of MoPub, a mobile ad exchange that was acquired by Twitter in 2013.

A known player in product-level marketing, Intelligent Reach took on a raft of new recruits to its senior team. Joining from eBay Inc., Adam Scott and Veronica Belandia take the titles of head of channel sales and partnerships, and customer development manager respectively.

Bringing her experience from Amazon and Amplience, Asti Kanaris is named customer success director. And from Google, Fran Warrington joins Intelligent Reach as account director.

Displaying growth

Open ad management company Sizmek made two key promotions to its European management team. Ben Walmsley stepped into the role of regional vice president for North Europe, having led the company’s UK operation for the last year, and former managing director for Sizmek in France, Dominique Blanc, was made regional vice president of France and Spain.

Across the Atlantic, Sizmek announced a volley of senior sales promotions and appointments. Mike Caprio was appointed GM/VP global product sales, while Jennifer Chen, Pedro Travesedo and Carolyn Bollacia are promoted to VP media solutions, RVP of LATAM and VP global accounts, among further announcements of expanded roles.

Mobile location targeting company xAd appointed James Davies to lead its platform business in Europe. Davis joins next month in the position of head of channel, EMEA, and brings 18 years of experience in integrating ‘out-of-home’ (OOH) advertising with digital communications

And making a move into Russia, Polish display ad tech company RTB House has installed Anton Melekhov, who is now responsible for the company’s planning and executive decisions in the new market.
