Navigate Digital is prepping its digital agency offering for a move into Australia, a nation which is becoming increasingly tech-savvy.

The London-headquartered group specialises in running marketing campaigns across a range of performance-based channels, and a deal is already in place for the company to lend its expertise to an affiliate programme for Cotswold Outdoor in Australia.

To facilitate the move down under, Navigate Digital will be partnering with a fellow digital agency in Media Circus, a Brisbane-based outfit which is yet to start running affiliate campaigns.

PerformanceIN is informed that Navigate Digital will also use local representatives to support its services for Australian clients.

Expanding overseas

As highlighted by the group,  Navigate Digital is moving into a territory which is very much suited to its offerings in affiliate, paid search and social media marketing as well as media planning and buying.

In January, research from Nielsen revealed that Australians typically spent 36 hours online. The streaming of online content is also on the up, with 13.5 million browsers in the country doing so in the same month.

Navigate Digital will now be looking for a seamless move into a new market after eight years in activation. The group was founded by Matt D’Alton and John Kimbell in 2007, who continue to hold positions at the company they helped form.

“Affiliate marketing has grown hugely and has defined its place in the digital marketing mix in the UK,” commented D’Alton.

“We’re excited to take the lessons that have been learnt in the UK and apply them to the Australian landscape.”
