Digital retail group Shop Direct has launched new website VeryExclusive.co.uk, in an effort to make luxury fashion more accessible.

Joining Shop Direct’s very.co.uk, isme.com and Littlewoods.com brands, the new site will offer women’s clothing, footwear, accessories and beauty products. Brands include Marc by Marc Jacobs and Vivienne Westwood, luxury high street retailer Reiss and make-up companies Stila and Nars.

The new venture will be led by my-wardrobe.com founder Sarah Curran MBE, the managing director of Very Exclusive.

“It’s hard to believe that just a year ago, VeryExclusive.co.uk was a mere idea we were bouncing around and now we’re live with a brand that’s going to democratise luxury fashion and beauty,” said Curran.

“There’s a real excitement about VeryExclusive.co.uk. For shoppers, we’re offering a fun, fresh and accessible taste of luxury.”

In addition to Curran, Harvey Nichols buyer Vikki Kavanagh and former Harrods beauty GMM Clare Morgan have been appointed to support the launch of the site.

Shaking it up

Alex Baldock, Shop Direct group chief executive, says the site aims to make luxury fashion accessible.

“VeryExclusive.co.uk will give the luxury market a much-needed shake up. We’re bringing luxury within reach of many who crave a Karl Lagerfeld jacket or a Vivienne Westwood handbag but feel it’s out of reach.”

In addition to the new luxury site, Shop Direct Group will be launching its own affiliate programme with Affiliate Window following a long-standing relationship between the two companies.

Laura Wood, digital marketing manager at Very Exclusive, says the programme will aim to push the boundaries of the affiliate industry and help the brand become a key player in the luxury fashion sector.

“Our ambition is to develop an affiliate programme which can rival not just the affiliate programmes of other luxury brands, but also to rival the sophistication we have in our other digital marketing channels at Shop Direct,” she commented.
