Global travel data company ADARA has announced the opening of a new office in Germany, while adding another base in the UAE.

The company has also brought in a number of new recruits from multi-national internet corporations and UK media outlets.

US-based ADARA has appointed Christoph Schier, former industry manager for travel and financial sectors at Google, as director of the DACH region and the former client development director for travel, tourism and retail at Yahoo!, Nick Mott, who will join the company as regional director for UAE.

Dan Long of Channel 4 and Tom Denton from The Guardian have also joined ADARA as part of its UK sales team.

Just the start

The Californian outfit says it intends to continue with its expansion and will be looking to hire new staff to support the growing company and its services.

“ADARA has prioritized its global expansion over the past 12 months both to build up our data set and support our growing advertiser base across their respective home markets,” said Elizabeth Harz, president of media at ADARA.

“The complexity of the EMEA market is such that local expertise and market understanding is imperative for success and we are investing to ensure our clients benefit from this knowledge.

New offices in UAE and Germany are just the start of our expansion with further offices planned in 2015.”

The expansion will also further support ADARA’s new offerings for advertisers across mobile, video and PMP.

Founded in 2009, ADARA leverages global travel data and, via its Magellan platform, converts loyalty, search and booking information into actionable knowledge, allowing companies to better understand and engage with their customers.

ADARA has offices across the US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia and works with global travel brands including Ryanair, Etihad and Marriott.
