Movers and Shakers: September 2014

Tradedoubler triggered the start of this September’s employee changes by rubber stamping Matthias Stadelmeyer’s position as president and CEO.

The company also announced the exit of chief technical officer Magnus Nyström, while Neil Ranatunga, who left the firm in January, is now a mobile strategy consultant at Asia Pacific Digital.

Affiliate Window has seen a number of departures too as Michelle Barros joined Etsy as digital marketing coordinator, Daniel Fernandes took on account director duties at Nanigans and Diane Shaw ventured to an account director position at RetailMeNot.

Fellow affiliate network Webgains had a management reshuffle of its own involving Stephen Kerin, who became group managing director - a role previously held by Robert Glasgow - while Derek Grant is now group sales director and Ben Cole is chief development officer.

Agency hires

IProspect has filled two newly created roles in head of programmatic and strategy partner with Wayne Blodwell and Gareth Owen respectively.

Media agency MEC has grown its staff count too, with the employment of Andreas Nicolaides as operations director and Katie Reed as campaign strategist in the company’s organic performance division.

Former Mindshare man Howard Titley is “excited” to be joining media network Carat as strategy partner where he will report directly to the company’s chief strategy officer Sanjay Nazerali.

Found has secured the services of Kirsty Hulse, who becomes the agency’s head of SEO after working on search strategies during her time at DigitasLBi for global brands such as Danone and Arcadia Group.

Spain-headquartered Affilired has appointed cultural communication and journalism graduate  Irene Otero to communications and marketing executive where she will drive business in the company’s critical European markets.

Tech appointments

Long-time Neo@Ogilvy servant Stephanie Small has moved on to pastures new in a switch from agency to technology platform. Small is Cake’s new client services director after spending six years at Neo.

Redmond’s loss is Chango’s gain as ex-Microsoft vice president of US sales Keith Lorizio takes the chief revenue officer reins at the programmatic advertising firm where he will  perform tasks such as identifying new opportunities and expanding the sales team.

With Gavin Wilson stepping up to MD of northern and southern Europe at Sociomantic, there was a UK sales void that the programmatic advertising company has moved to fill with new commercial director Jonathan Setty and director of partnerships Guy Beresiner of Criteo fame.

Two other ad platforms that have strengthened their management are Questback with the appointment of Christelle Fraysse as group director of marketing and ad pepper media UK with new MD Vin Bhardwaj.

Wrapping things up, Sean Mahon is Equator’s new affiliate manager, Skimlinks has a new head of publisher development in Tom Allin and Katy Armitage switches retailers from M&S to Anthropologie Europe as digital marketing manager.
