As part of its ongoing programme of expansion and reorganisation, online performance marketing group OMG has appointed a new managing director.

Carla Arrindell, who was previously client services director, has today entered the office in Norwich as OMG’s new UK MD.

In her new position she will manage UK operations across all four of OMG’s business areas: OMG Network, OMG Compare, OMG Rewards and OMG Leads.

The UK MD role is on a par with those of OMG’s other divisional directors outside the UK, although with greater responsibility due to the group’s larger and more mature business in its home territory.

Leanne Bowen-Thomas will move from her position, as group account director at OMG Compare, to become OMG’s new head of client services.

Arrindell, who has been at the company for more than 10 years, will report to CEO Richard Syme.

“In her 10 years with OMG, she has consistently shown strong leadership skills and deep insight into our clients, our publisher network and our technology,” Syme said.

“She’s helped us to achieve countless milestones and, in the process, she’s become one of the most knowledgeable and respected figures in UK affiliate marketing. She’s the ideal choice to oversee the next phase of our development and I’m looking forward to seeing what she achieves.”

The appointment is part of an ongoing programme of expansion and reorganisation at OMG. The group said its overseas presence is also growing fast, and a recruitment drive has seen the in-house technical team double in size, with dedicated teams for each business area.

Arrindell said having seen OMG grow over the years, she is ‘incredibly proud’ of what the business has achieved, and is ambitious about what it can achieve in the future.

“Our new structure will add significant value to our UK operations, and to the group as a whole,” Arrindell said.

“Our service offering now includes affiliate, price-comparison, incentive and referral marketing, and my remit is to bring it all together for our clients.”

One of Arrindell’s first priorities is to make sure that OMG’s technology, particularly in terms of innovation, is recognised as ‘best in class’

She will be working alongside innovations director, Mark Solway, and OMG’s commercial director, Stephen Rumbelow, to manage the next phase of investment into its technology suite – in order to deliver insight, data and growth for its clients.
