Global online cashback business Ebates, has teamed up with email marketing firm in an attempt to drive sales and create a more personalised experience for users.

The 1998-founded US company, which works with more than 2,000 merchants such as Amazon and Walmart, has enlisted help from email marketing and data firm, Epsilon.

Dallas-headquartered Epsilon will provide targeted email marketing across Ebates’ suite of websites and rewards programmes including Ebates.com, Ebates.ca, Ebates Korea, FatWallet.com and Pushpins.

General manager of Ebates.com, Amit Patel, said under the terms of the multiyear agreement, Epsilon will provide a full suite of permission-based email marketing services including account and campaign management, strategy and email delivery.

“Epsilon’s innovative digital technology will enable us to strategically engage our customers and create more meaningful experiences across our sites and programmes,” Patel said.

Ebates will leverage Epsilon’s Email Response Network to intelligently schedule email campaigns, allowing the company to target individual customers at the right time and on the right device to maximise marketing results. This tool improves campaign effectiveness by helping Ebates send highly personalised messages to consumers.

Ebates sends billions of emails to customers each year, including newsletters, welcome messages, offers, discounts and promotions.
