We do insurance the John Lewis way – this means offering a great range of products and a great sense of value, while underlining other key values that the Partnership stands for – excellent service and trust. In addition, our focus is not only on trying to serve new customers, as we also strive to serve our existing customers even better.
Our insurance buying guides are an excellent example of our commitment to our customers. We provide detailed buying guides for each of our products to help our customers choose the right policy to suit them, this includes explaining why insurance is important and also providing information so customers can make a decision on the right level of cover.
In the current economic climate, there has been a trend for consumers to switch their home insurance provider, in search of the best deals. We go to great lengths to ensure our product is great value, particularly for our target, ‘heartland’ customers, including monthly price benchmarking against similar quality products offered by competitors.

Not only this but the John Lewis Insurance programmes are linked and as a result, will cross-track effectively. This means that if a customer clicks-through on any John Lewis Insurance link and takes out a policy on any other John Lewis Insurance programme, the sale will be tracked into each particular programme and affiliates will receive commission accordingly. In addition – we also utilise a 30 day cookie window!
