Teradata Corporation (NYSE:TDC), the leading analytic data platforms, marketing applications and services company today announced that Teradata eCircle, Europe’s largest supplier of online marketing services, has been awarded the prestigious ISO 27001 certification after extensive external assessment by the German body TÜV Nord.
ISO 27001 is an international standard for information security management following a strictly defined “best practices” approach. The certification confirms that the eC-messenger service is comprehensively built on a well-designed information security management system and underscores that Teradata eCircle processes’ superior focus on the confidentiality, integrity and availability of customer data.
eC-messenger is an email marketing application which equips marketers with an end-to-end solution for planning, designing and sending complex marketing campaigns with integrated data, targeted content and unprecedented results. The ISO 27001 certification attests that all aspects of information security including but not limited to risk assessment, incident tracking, network and infrastructure security, business continuity, and access control are aligned and managed in a both effective and efficient way.
The announcement follows Teradata eCircle’s DataSeal standard certification by the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) last year, making Teradata eCircle the only Integrated Marketing Management (IMM) provider to have been awarded both of these standards for information security management.
