What are some developments that Cotswold Outdoor have seen this year that put them ahead of their competitors?
2013 has been a huge year for Cotswold Outdoor, and we’ve witnessed further growth in the digital arena. Our multi-channel offering is really important for us, and with the opening of two further stores we’re able to offer an incredible proposition. We have click and collect available across our website, with items available to be collected within 1-2 hours of ordering at any of our 69 stores nationwide. Alongside this, we’ve made numerous improvements to the Cotswold Outdoor website including a revised checkout and this week in fact (a little bit of exciting news!), we’ve got the fully optimised mobile website launching.
What does this mean for their publishers?
From a publisher perspective, all of this means you can offer your visitors an even stronger retail proposition. Commission is available across all online purchases including click & collect, home delivery and the new mobile site. In the run up to Christmas this is a really strong offering, especially considering the 1-2 hour collection window - last minute shopping for your consumers couldn’t be easier!
What resources/commission does Cotswold Outdoor offer its publishers?
We offer 6% commission on all orders, in conjunction with a 30 day cookie period and a strong site conversion rate. We have a dedicated contact at Webgains (Will Hamer-Jones), alongside myself (James Dunford) and are able to fulfil specific requests from publishers. Banners can be booked in and created, plus we have a full in-stock product feed. We’re also happy to consider exclusive commission with publishers who can offer extra coverage and on-site promotion.
Are there any exciting developments coming up for Cotswold Outdoor?
We’ve developed enormously over the course of this year, and we’re even more excited about 2014. Our web offering is becoming stronger and stronger, alongside our portfolio of stores which offer expert advice and knowledge. Our mobile offering is in the early stages, but that’s going to witness tremendous strides forward.
