Originally founded as a general store in 1950 by Cyril Benson, our first bed centre concept opened in 1972. In 2011, the new Bensons for Beds business was launched, merging the existing Bensons for Beds, Sleepmasters and Bed Shed brands under one umbrella. Bensons for Beds now has over 270 stores nationwide.

When you buy a bed from Bensons for Beds you can be sure of expert help and advice, backed up by comprehensive customer service and after sales service.

Following extensive customer research, the Comfort Station was developed which has now been introduced in to every store. The Comfort Station helps you choose the comfort that is right for you. Beds are rated 1 to 5 in terms of firmness, with 5 being the most firm.

Our retail stores are supported by a head office of experienced marketing, buying and logistics teams, ensuring that we are giving you the best service. A centralised customer service function is also based in the UK head office, ensuring that customers’ queries are dealt with quickly and efficiently. Today, Bensons operates predominantly as concessions on many large retails parks and we now have a growing number of stand alone bed superstores and a selection of high street stores. We also have a new improved fully transactional website.

In addition, Bensons for Beds is proud to be members of FIRA (Furniture Industry Research Association) and The Furniture Ombudsman.

What does this mean for your Affiliates?

We offer a huge range of styles, including leather bedsteads, wooden bedsteadsmetal bedsteadschildren's beds and famous name UK branded beds from Sleepmasters, Silentnight, iGel, Sealy and Sensaform. We also offer a wide range of mattresses, headboards, pillows and accessories as well as a growing bedroom furniture range offering numerous colour and finish combinations.

This means that Affiliates can be secure in the knowledge that their customers can get a great product from a wide range via our new improved ecommerce site backed up by efficient delivery and customer service.

What does Bensons for Beds make available to Affiliates to help them promote the programme?

As well as great deals all the time and promotions that change on a three weekly basis so there is always something new to tell your customers we can offer exclusives from time to time, especially at peak periods of the year such as January and Bank holidays.

Our new website will enable us to offer even more promotions and incentives and explore more.

What are Bensons for Beds plans for 2014?

As part of the Steinhoff Group we have exciting growth plans for the future and the backing to enable us to achieve them.

We are constantly adding to our range and looking for innovative new products and technological advances such as our new iGel range of mattresses – the next generation of memory foam.

Our new improved website will provide a better and easier shopping experience for the customer whatever device they are using to shop from and will continue to be added to and improved even more into 1014 and beyond

We strive to continue to offer great value beds and aim to give all our customers a better night’s sleep.
