Today sees the launch of our fifth pan-European performance marketing conference agenda. It’s an agenda that’s packed with the full performance marketing mix of topics featuring sessions on search, panels on international expansion, case studies and heightened strategies on mobile marketing, but the interesting trend for me is the varied sessions we have this year on multi-channel.
Multi-Channel takes Centre Stage in Amsterdam
The sheer volume of submissions on the subject of multi-channel was staggering when comparing to our London conference last October and also against our NYC show this year. Whilst there’s been a lot of talk recently on multi / omni / agile marketing, it has been a high priority it seems for many involved in performance marketing to research, understand and start marketing to the expanded customer journey.
From the first panel session on day one which looks at acquiring traffic across new media and platforms to a unique eight country research piece on the role that performance marketing plays within a shoppers’ extended purchase journey, through to a panel session that discusses how engagement with consumers changes in a multi-platform world by combining, maximising and optimising different platforms, there’ll be plenty to get your teeth into in July in Amsterdam.
Whilst there are sessions and panels that cover the topic as one entity, new for 2013 we’ve launched our multi-channel theatre, which is our interactive and case study-led session track at a4uexpo Europe. Having been used previously as a pure session track we’re mixing the theatre up this year to offer learnings, case studies and more interactive sessions on different multi-channel topics.
Beginning with affiliate mobile 101 the theatre will host social media, display marketing, search engine optimisation, PR and e-mail marketing sessions across the two days, allowing you to take advantage of specifically targeted sessions alongside thought-leadership and panel discussions.
New advances in multi-channel strategy feature heavily across this year’s agenda and is something I’m particularly excited to see featuring more prominently within performance marketing, as it continues to align our industry as sharing a similar main focus to today’s wider digital marketing strategies.
Performance Marketing in the Netherlands
Our return to the Netherlands five years on from our inaugural show in 2009 has been well received, and so much has changed during our absence that we’re primed and ready to discuss over a number of sessions in July. We’ve put together a specific panel to discuss the state of performance marketing in the Netherlands with key individuals and companies operating within the market.
Expect to hear our panel’s views on building brands to increase customer retention and add additional value, the latest mobile opportunities that are gracing the market, and adapting to changing consumer habits surrounding the customer journey, among others.
There’s also the usual suspects of a4uexpo conferences past, with Joost de Valk giving a presentation on what’s currently best practice across theme selection and frameworks, must-use plugins (and ones you should avoid) and overall optimisation techniques including speed, search engine optimisation, maintenance and analytics. Bas van den Beld is back to discuss influence and authority, plus Jochem Vroom returns to join our panel on the Netherlands. Plus we’ve a host of new faces from this year’s host country taking part in the conference agenda – they’ll be revealed next week!
Knowledge Zone, Roundtables and Power Pitches
New for 2013 includes the launch of our ‘Power Pitches’ - a chance for new tech, digital and industry start-ups who’ve launched within the last 12 months to pitch their new business to delegates in attendance with a 10 minute power pitch in the theatre. Whether pitching for investment, business expansion, promotion or awareness, our new feature will enable start-ups to put themselves in front of our a4uexpo delegates.
Applications for pitches are now open, until 14th June. If approved you'll receive a complimentary exhibition hall only pass to a4uexpo Europe, with pitches taking place during the lunch time hours of July 2–3, along with the option to upgrade your ticket so that you can take part in our full conference agenda and networking opportunities.
This is a great opportunity to reach an industry that's growing rapidly, being invested in and rolling out innovative solutions.
Delegates can take part in a selection of discussions at one of our expert roundtables, commencing during lunch hours on both days at a4uexpo Europe. Each roundtable will be hosted by hand-picked experts from across the industry discussing hot topics, new technologies and strategies that are relevant to all in attendance.
