Performance Marketing Insights (PMI) – New York-style, has proved a big hit on day one of the industry leading conference.
As we wrap up for the day, and key industry figures begin to turn into evening revellers ahead of PMI’s exclusive networking soiree at the Times’ Square Sky Room venue, we reflect on the knowledge-fuelled day.
We were pleased to see that our PMINYC hashtag has been fired out all day, from the likes of Google, Affiliate Window, Rakuten LinkShare and a whole range of speakers and delegates - so be sure to keep on top of this hashtag for tomorrow’s performance marketing-packed day.
Ready, Set, Go
Confident and upbeat opening remarks from A4u founder, Matthew Wood, was welcomed by the friendly floor, followed-up by insightful comments from chief operating officer at Rakuten Linkshare, Liane Dietrich.
Attendees soon spread throughout PMI’s choice venue - Manhattan’s Crowne Plaza Hotel, to soak up knowledge from the brand showcases, and of course the informative seminars.
We had too many top speakers to name, and topics ranged from driving the mobile channel through online media, and combining paid search with organic principles, to Facebook strategies and attribution adoption for marketing campaigns.
PMI Fills 'Niche'
Vice president of network distribution for Neverblue, Bjorn Hougaard, said he was pleased with his session on ‘mobile affiliate marketing, the full operation’ and was soon approached by people with questions after his presentation.
Before jetting off to Bangkok, Hougaard said: “I wish I could stay for the whole event as it was a really good conference.
“I thought it went very well. There are some really great speakers, the event is incredibly professional and as it is so performance marketing focused; I think there is a real niche for this sort of event.”
From top sponsors such as Affiliate Window, Performance Horizon, HasOffers and AffiliateTraction, to Cake Marketing, TagMan, 7thingsmedia and Linkdex, the event is not short of successful companies who were on hand to discuss industry ins and outs, while also networking themselves.
An equally impressive speaker line up will take centre stage tomorrow as a wealth of interesting and cutting edge topics are explored.
Subjects covered on tomorrow's jam-packed agenda include measuring performance in advertising effectiveness, affiliate conversion optimisation, global performance marketing, future industry threats, content strategies and more.
Digital Wallet Wars
Attendees will hear from 'people in the know', such as founder of All Inclusive Marketing, Sarah Bundy, executive director of The Performance Marketing Association, Rebecca Madigan, and of course, our key note speaker, senior analyst serving consumer product strategy professionals, from Forrester Research Inc, Denée Carrington. Carrington's session on 'why the digital wallet wars matter' looks set to be a packed session!
