YuMe has announced the launch of its video brand advertising solutions business in Madrid. The company has previously set up local offices in Paris and the UK. YuMe hopes its latest European move will maintain momentum on the continent.

Brands in Spain will now be able to use YuMe’s digital video brand advertising software and services solution to match the right ad to the right audience. It uses publisher inventory on desktop PC, mobile, tablet and connected TV.

Country manager, Scott McCarthy, will oversee YuMe’s Madrid base with the help of sales general director, Fernando Garcia. They will be joined by several others to form an operation totalling six staff.

Local expertise

The office will, according to YuMe, be populated by veterans of the online advertising space in Spain. David Gomez takes on the director of business development role and Oscar Perez is technical support manager. Both Gonzalez del Sol and Ignacio Garbayo will be sales managers at the firm.

Jayant Kadambi, Co-founder and CEO at YuMe, has noted the rise in mobile adoption and hopes the addition of a Spanish office will be well-placed to take advantage of any future growth.

“In Europe, we’re seeing both the steady growth of online video, as well as the rapid adoption of mobile and other screens,” he said. “With the right technology and the right team in place, YuMe Spain is positioned and ready to address the needs of the marketplace.”
