Could you give us a brief overview of John Lewis Insurance?
John Lewis Insurance is the Insurance division of John Lewis, offering a range of Home, Car, Wedding, Pet, and Travel Insurance products. The products have recently been refreshed, meaning that on top of the wide-ranging cover you would expect from John Lewis Insurance, exciting extras are now included. For example Pet Insurance now offers a 24-hour vetfone as standard, whilst Travel Insurance has a policy option with Medical Expenses cover of up to £10 million. Our Affiliate Window profile has plenty of pre-approved copy to use on site, as well as a comprehensive rundown on the best features and benefits of each product.
Each Insurance product has a separate Affiliate Programme on Affiliate Window, making it as simple as possible for affiliates to promote the Insurance most relevant to their site. In addition, sales will cross-track, so if a consumer clicks on a Wedding Insurance link and ends up taking out Travel Insurance for their Honeymoon, you won’t lose out on commission!
What makes the John Lewis Insurance affiliates programmes stand out? What resources are available to affiliates?
The commission on the John Lewis Insurance affiliate programmes is very competitive, ranging from £15 for Wedding Insurance to £46 for Car Insurance.
Conversion rates are consistently high and we are able to leverage the brand recognition of the wider John Lewis Partnership to offer some fantastic consumer offers and voucher codes. Some current offers include:
- 10% online discount for Pet and Car Insurance.
- 15% online discount for Travel Insurance
- Up to £50 of John Lewis vouchers for customers who purchase a Home Insurance policy online
- Customer who purchase John Lewis Pet Insurance online until the end of October 2012 will receive a coupon to redeem against £20 of Waitrose own brand pet food.
These offers contribute to high EPCs: Home Insurance during August saw a strong EPC of £1.47.
In terms of resources, we have a brand new range of colourful banners which are regularly updated. There are also a range of infographics available, including one which breaks down the increasing cost of a modern wedding - a great tool to help educate your visitors about the importance of this type of insurance.
We’re constantly optimising and adding new features to our Affiliate programmes. Some recent developments include the opportunity for us to offer co-branded landing pages to our high performing partners (and that’s not just the voucher code partners). We also offer telephone tracking across a number of our programmes. We’re happy to discuss these opportunities with any affiliate that can offer high quality traffic.
Finally, we also run regular affiliate incentives! We recently launched an incentive with a top prize of £1,150 John Lewis Partnership vouchers (which is still running) - more details of which can be found here. We’re keen to work with new and small affiliates as well as helping existing affiliates to build on their results and welcome any feedback about how we can help you do this.
