Movers and shakers: August

First up we have Samantha Hall who’s swapped her Business Analyst Role at White Space Insight to become SEOptimise’s SEO & Content Executive. SEOptimise’s recruitment drive also saw the hiring of ex-Deutsche Bank apprentice, Katharina John. She’s said to be strengthening the foreign language capabilities of the agency.

Tradedoubler recently saw its Client Services Director North West, Sandra McDill hop over to TagMan where she’s now European Account Services Director. The move may have been behind Tradedoubler employing Andrew Copeland as Head of Affiliates – North West. He came from Webgains where he was Client Services Manager.

TagMan also shifted Jon Baron from Co-Founder to a more hands-on role as overall CEO. According to the company, Baron helped originate and engineer tag management technology, which led to the creation of TagMan in 2007. His new responsibilities will include global leadership for the company’s vision, strategy and growth.

New President & CEO of Yahoo, Merissa Mayer, has had the industry gushing about how she’ll herald a new dawn for the company. Meanwhile, she’s been quietly going about making changes to Yahoo internally. Director of Account Management, Jon Myers, may have seen this as a chance for a fresh start. He’s now Commercial Director EMEA at Marin Software.

Change at Group M

Maxus, recently named the fastest-growing global media services agency in the world by RECMA, has promoted Lindsay Pattison to the new post of Chief Strategy Officer. Since 2009, Pattison has served as CEO of the agency’s UK operations in London and will retain those duties while taking on her new global responsibilities.

French company, Pure Agency, has decided the time is now to start making waves in the UK. The full service mobile agency has hired Manning Gottlieb OMD’s Business Development Director, Femi Omoluabi. He’s now UK Vice President at Pure Agency where he’ll oversee the firm’s set-up and roadmap.

Commission Junction have waved goodbye to the recently departed Key Account Manager, Matt Baker, who managed the Argos and TUI affiliate programmes at CJ. He’s now European Business Development Manager at Greystripe. His new responsibilities include recruitment, growth and development of UK and European in-app and mobile site advertising inventory.

There have been a couple of other noteworthy internal promotions, too. Luke Judge has gone from Head of Business Development - International to Sales and Marketing Director at Net Media Planet. VoucherCodes.co.uk’s Marina McKeever (née Pettengell) has moved to Commercial Director from her previous Head of Partnerships position.
