Cleafs was established in The Netherlands in 2007 and is one of the fastest growing networks in Europe. Their area of expertise are said to complement the sectors where affilinet already has a strong footprint, such as travel, and is likely to enable them to further build their market position.
Clients of Cleafs will now be able to take advantage of the scaling affilinet network in order to rapidly grow their businesses across Europe, and likewise affilinet's existing customers will now be able to gain access to a wider pool of publishers in the Dutch market, helping clients to grow sales and market presence.
International network expansion is certainly a common theme for 2012, with a number of performance marketing networks having crossed shores to launch either in emerging markets or to solidify their presence, increasing market share through acquisition.
