Affiliate Window says it has invested in key areas to improve its compliance department of late. Brand monitoring, identifying adware and spyware and detecting fraudulent sales are all covered with the news that BrandVerity, Agent99 and Kount are now running on the network.
Online fraud is one of the greatest threats to an advertiser’s business. Statistics show 11% of the UK’s online community have been a victim of fraud in the past year. So it’s important affiliate networks do their part to tackle the issue. Affiliate Window’s compliance department ensures individuals attempting to hijack traffic and sales are identified and removed from the network.
Forced click prevention
Agent99 is one of the new tools Affiliate Window recently disclosed. It identifies and protects against sales tied back to forced clicks where the user has not knowingly clicked through to an advertiser’s site. Agent99 is designed to trigger, identify and remove adware traffic. It also records all triggered publisher links and gives detailed log files for each offence.
Real-time monitoring solution, Kount, allows advertisers to identify mid-order fraudulent activity. The advertiser then has the option to either block the transaction or flag it for further review. The result is that more orders can be accepted from more people allaying any concerns about general business growth.
Peter Loveday, Affiliate Window’s CTO, is under no illusion about the importance of giving his company’s clients a network they can trust in the face of mounting fraud concerns. “As a network we have always firmly believed it is our role to create that trusted marketplace by providing both tools and oversight and have been happy to play our part in strengthening the integrity of the channel,” he said.
