What sets Rezidor apart from its competitors, in terms of both the business overall and its affiliate programme?
When we look at things on a corporate level it would definitely come down to the pace the Rezidor brand is running at. We’re constantly taking over and opening new hotels. The pipeline for new hotels is huge and within the next four years our aim is to provide over 22,000 new rooms for customers. As a company we’re investing a lot of money into this and it’s paying off. We’re the fastest growing hotel chain globally at present within our competitors and we’re known for it.
From an affiliates perspective; first of all we offer two programs under the Rezidor brand. One for Radisson Blu and one for Park Inn by Radisson. We set it up like this because the brands are very different to one another. We offer a lot more technically than many of our competitors. We have an API available, hotel specific commission rate opportunities and there’s always something to talk about with the brand based on how quickly we are growing.
Affiliate incentives are also run frequently and there’s always a chance to win a prize!
What does Rezidor make available to its affiliates to help them promote the programme?
Radisson Blu and Park Inn by Radisson Hotels offer a competitive commission rate of 4% standard which is negotiable based on coverage. Again the API is a huge bonus and allows us to work with key metasearch affiliate partners too. The program also hosts a selection of promotional banners which are due to have a revamp soon, something to watch out for. We’re also looking at introducing voucher codes to the campaign too which will open doors up to a number of new partners.
Frequent copy and an up and coming content pack to make promoting the brand as simple as possible from the word go.
We also think that the support our agency LBi/Bigmouthmedia provides is an invaluable tool to our affiliate base. By having them on board it means that there is always a go to person who will be available to answer all queries and provide assistance where needed.
What are Rezidor business goals and plans for 2012?
It’s all about growth and new hotels! Currently we have in the region of 2 new hotels per month opening for the brand, sometimes much more. Eastern Europe is a huge market to the business this year and is therefore a key focus.
There are so many factors that will contribute to the growth of the business and affiliates are definitely part of that mix.
