buy.at Brand Retired as Affiliate Window Launches New Platform in the USA

Following the acquisition of buy.at by Affiliate Window in March 2010, a huge task of aligning the two network platforms and migrating programmes across to Affiliate Window's 'Darwin' platform has taken place over the past 24 months.

Added to Affiliate Window's client list following the acquisition of buy.at included O2, RAC, Aviva and Everything Everywhere in the UK, along with the likes of Ticketmaster in the US.

News of the full migration and dissolution of buy.at brand was announced via A4u 12 months ago, with Adam Ross, COO of Affiliate Window, stating "Consolidation of all Advertiser programmes to the Affiliate Window platform will begin in July [2011]."

The advancing US market paves way for Affiliate Window's interface - says MD.

Our interview with COO Adam Ross, 8 days post the initial acquisition of buy.at back in 2010, stated that the UK market was viewed as far more advanced than the US:

"We see the UK market as significantly more advanced than the US with merchants taking much greater interest and control over their campaigns. The knowledge we have gained from working in such a demanding market should hold us in good stead over there and the US team is excited about some of the ideas we have proposed."

A couple of years later and Mark Walters, Managing Director of Affiliate Window, believes now is the right time for their interface to meet the needs of a growing Performance Marketing sector in the US:

“The US market is advancing and the levels of sophistication of our advertiser and publisher partners require a platform capable of coping with those demands. New technology is supposed to make life easier, add value or deliver innovation and we hope our clients feel that the new platform delivers all three. Everything we do has these three elements in mind and ensures we are consistently reinventing what we know and what our partners need."

Steven Brown, Co-Founder of buy.at back in 1999, had this to say regarding buy.at's heritage:

"buy.at was a fantastic business built on serving clients well that was grown by great people at all levels.

"I'm pleased the industry leadership, spirit and philosophies of buy.at live on as its people shape the online world across the globe."
