Net Media Planet discusses Performance Marketing Awards - Q&A

Why are these awards so important to the industry?

For all the performance marketing companies within the industry, the Performance Marketing Awards are a fantastic opportunity to get together, celebrate successes and learn from one another. Being recognised for the innovative work we are doing is also great.

From an industry perspective the awards are a fantastic opportunity to showcase the industry to a wider marketing audience. As well as increased brand awareness for the winners of the awards, the awards themselves help to put performance marketing firmly on the radar of the wider marketing industry.

What stood out for you in terms of industry successes, when reading this year’s entries?

SS: This year, it was great to see the levels of innovation on display; from the many strong examples of mobile innovation, particularly the work by Commission Junction for Argos that saw them lifting the crown, to the technology innovations that won Skimlinks the international excellence award, it was clear the industry continues to push the boundaries. However it was also great to see a new award recognising the role affiliate marketing is now playing in multi-channel marketing strategy – hats off to Voucherscodes.co.uk for winning the inaugural Best use of Affiliate Marketing as part of a multi-channel campaign award for their work with New Look.

Why did you choose to be associated with the Best Managed Affiliate Programme category?

SS: We chose to support the Best Managed Affiliate Programme category as we wanted to show our support for the affiliate networks partners and friends that we work with everyday. The winners TradeDoubler with The Body Shop generated some impressive results, so congrats to them.

How have the awards evolved in the time you’ve been attending?

SS: When we first got involved with the awards, six years ago, we gathered in a pub. Six years on, the awards are hosted at the Grosvenor House hotel with more than 800 attendees – that says it all really! Hats off to Matt and the team.

What does it mean personally and from a business perspective to be highly commended in the Best Search Campaign Category?

SS: At Net Media Planet, we’re really passionate about unleashing creativity and coming up with innovative ways to drive results so it’s fantastic to be recognised and receive a ‘highly commended’ in the Best Search Campaign category.
