ValueClick’s New Chief Operating Officer

ValueClick has named John Giuliani as the company’s chief operating officer. Giuliani was Dotomi’s chief executive at the time of its acquisition by ValueClick in August 2011 and is a member of ValueClick’s board of directors. He will now report to chief executive officer James R Zarley.

A number of ValueClick’s different segments will now come under Giuliani’s control including the ValueClick Media and Dotomi online media arm, Commission Junction’s affiliate marketing business and the Mediaplex technology part. The presidents of each - Bill Todd, Kerri Pollard and David Yovanno - will now report to Giuliani. However Zarley will continue to oversee operations at ValueClick’s Owned & Operated and European offshoots.

Growth structure

After a financially successful 2011, ValueClick will again be looking to grow the company and it likely sees the management restructure as a way of doing this. Zarley speaks of his enthusiasm for the company’s latest changes: ““I am excited about the prospect of crystalising our divisions into a full solution set,” he says. “I look forward to working with John and our other leaders to capitalise on our industry’s growth opportunities in the years to come.”

Giuliani echoes Zarley’s words by discussing how each of ValueClick’s operations can combine to give companies a greater digital marketing experience than it has previously. “I see tremendous opportunity to build upon the strengths of each individual business so our clients achieve more of their digital marketing goals at greater scale and efficiency through ValueClick,” he concludes.
