Distribute Travel launches platform for affiliates

Content-focused affiliates will now be able to take advantage of a new multibrand search technology from Distribute Travel. Called QuickStart, the tech will enable them to display more dynamic inventory to their site users by taking advantage of deals with Thomas Cook (Club 18-30, Direct Holidays, Manos, Airtours, Neilson Active, Neilson Ski, Style Villas, Sunset), On the Beach, Lowcost Holidays, Flight & Hotel, 118 Travel, TheLonghaulTraveller.com and Bookable Holidays.

QuickStart contains a broad array of search options. Wide data ranges and destination choices are just the beginning – other functionality includes the possibility to search rolling dates as well as filtering by any combination of departure airport, destination country, region, or resort, star rating, board basis and budget.

Targeting the smaller publisher

Managing Director Nic Costa feels that QuickStart’s features will help it to target the smaller publisher in addition to the high-volume websites that the previous incarnation was built for. “[QuickStart is] a multi-supplier search that can be easily configured by publishers with very little technical integration required,” he explained.

The longtail is especially important in the travel sector, and affiliates looking to grow this aspect of their business further will benefit from QuickStart. Giles Parnwell, Director at Distribute Travel, agrees with this statement: “The technology is ideal for travel content affiliates with good longtail SEO,” he pointed out, “as they can create deeplinks that are directly relevant to their content by filtering searches.”

Competition in the travel sector, especially the affiliate space, means that companies have to go the extra mile to make their product stand out from the crowd. Parnwelll told A4u that QuickStart should do just that. “It is totally unique as it offers publishers a complete holiday comparison solution that runs across multiple networks,” he claimed.
