There's quite a packed agenda for the last IAB AMC meeting of 2010, taking place this Thursday at the IAB offices.
Product Feed Guideline Launch
Put together by FusePump and Found, these Product Feed guides are the result of months of consultation with affiliate networks and other members of the Council. Aimed at educating advertisers, agencies and third parties about why good quality datafeeds are important in affiliate marketing, initially dealing with the retail sector, but with more to follow.
Lee Brignell-Cash from FusePump explained to the IAB's Affiliate Marketing Council Blog what Advertisers can find within the documents:
“These documents have been produced to provide e-commerce retail category companies with specific guidance on the use of product feeds within affiliate marketing. Part I “Why do I need a product feed?” looks at the associated benefits and some basic questions around product feeds. Part II “Feed Structure and Attributes” provides specific guidance on file structure and attributes.
“While Part I is useful for individuals interested in evaluating the potential value of product feeds and more general aspects of feed creation and management, Part II is for those involved in the practical specification, build and deployment of feeds”.

After causing a stir on the forum a few weeks back, remarketing company Ve Interactive will be presenting to the AMC on Thursday, regarding their remarketing technology. There will also be follow up discussions on next steps and implications for the wider idustry.
a4uAwards: Crafting a Winning Entry
Matthew Wood, founder of 'a4u' will be conducting a presentation regarding the a4uAwards 2011. Matthew will be discussing the aims of the awards, changes to the 2011 categories, why and how to enter, plus importantly what makes an effective entry.
The a4u team will be filming Matthew's presentation and will be releasing soon after.
