Hi Guys,

Is there an affiliate script available as an off the shelf solution written in php?

I don't want a pre-written php price comparison script like Price Tapestry, it has to connect to shopping.com's API.

Any ideas anyone?

There used to be one - not sure if it is still around.
The shopping.com affiliate manager used to actively promote it, so that might be a good place to start.

It looked ok - basic design, but that's easy to sort out. I think it cost around £150, but i might be wrong.

It's even free now - looks a bit broken, but you could just remove the broken feature.

Do these type of scripts make any money? I see domains appearing at times using them but they disappear after a while. Does Google even bother indexing them?

I am going to try one of these scripts out. See how Google reacts to it.

Yes, they work very well as I have indexed sites on first page Google within a few weeks next to the top companies. It is about various factors such as hosting performance, meta data, descriptions, keywords, social media which drive the traffic. I use a special system from a consulting company which is network and retailer independent, basically a high performance set of scripts which auto download the data from the networks, and with a few table entries maps and the cleans the data loading it to the site. I use Magento & WordPress, normally the latter as the Magento sites are professional (ShopStyle type) but cost a lot to run for hardware. The scripts really have little to do with Google, it is all the different areas that make up the whole so unless you have those correct it any testing is really irrelevant.
