If its any help to the guys who run the affiliate scheme...
Point the Finance department at this thread and copy in the head of marketing or even Mike Rice your MD, as a fellow cyclist.

You've had the sales and got the money from some of our marketing back in May.
So pay up please.

Not happy; and I guess there's a lot of other affiliates who aren't either.
By the way, there are at least 4 major competitors, who don't seem to have payment problems.

You've actually got a good affiliate scheme and YOU, the finance department are putting it at risk.
Once you've wound up 100's or perhaps 1000's of affiliates, its not easy to go back.

Its not like a magazine ad. You may be able to pay really late and then have them bite your hand off when you offer them a year's ad. budget spend.

That won't work with affiliates. They'll already have promoted someone else instead of you.

Good morning,

I am the affiliate manager for Evans Cycles and I can only apologise for the delay in your payment.

We have had a couple of issues with invoices but these are all resolved now and payment will be made this week. I am also an affiliate myself and I do understand the frustration of working hard to drive sales and not receiving your commission but rest assured that, here at Evans Cycles, we really do value the hard work from our affiliates and would not want to jeopardise this relationship by not paying you the money you deserve.

Once again, I am very sorry for this issue and will be speaking to our finance team to ensure that we get payments to affiliates paid promptly in future.

Thanks Mike, I know you guys have been putting in a lot of effort and sorting out the attribution model, bonuses etc., so imagine it must be a bit frustrating at your end as well.

Also I had a bit of an overreaction, as I've never noticed Evans being late before !
