    Optimax - What's That?

The site appears to have been down for the past couple days.

Now this is the first program we have ever used on AF, whacked it on the site and included within our opt-in newsletter mail out. It converted quite well until it dryed up, then realised the site was down.

    Here is the juicy bit.

I just called AF, I asked for affiliate support or affiliate client services...

The reply was "What's that?" ..... I almost wet myself.

I didn't dare go on to explain what an affiliate was.

However apparently everyone in AF was in a meeting.

Not a great first impression of us using the network, but amusing.

Hmmm, that explains a few things - we promoted it in our weekly newsletter yesterday, and were getting around 6-10 sales an hour, until 18:30 last night and we haven't had one since.

Just checked, and the site is STILL down. Also have had no reply to my enquiries about removing the "call us now for an instant evaluation" number.

Thanks for posting about the site being down QGJ - God knows how much money I poured down the drain on PPC last night promoting a dead site. At least I can pause my ads now.

Shame, as it's potentially a good little program if it can be managed properly.

PPC and Newsletter wasted here too... a real shame.

It is certainly one of their programs that stood out from their portfolio of merchants. Whilst scanning through them there seemed to be about a dozen real gems, this being amongst the most obvious.

    "What's an affiliate?"

    Hi Guys,

My sincere apologies with this Guys - Optimax have a DNS issue that should be ok shortly!

The main contact is currently away making this a bit tough to clear up.

Hopefully you should be able to view the site soon as the DNS propogates!

I hope to speak with them ASAP and will be in touch with again soon!

We always on-line here anyway - i think the "Whats That" was a bad response to a bad telephone line !

Should be sorted iminentley - gave me a chuckle though!

    Here is the juicy bit.
wouldn't it be better to say "here's the bit that worried me"?

as the way you put it makes it sound like you wanted to damage the peception of AF and not simply to get a question answered.

    Jules,

Thank you for keeping me updated and doing the overtime in contacting me early this evening.

    Get Visible,

I shall refrain from posting on the forum what I do think about your comment, but for your education "the juicy bit" was that I found it quite amusing...hence... "wet myself". For all I know it could have been the tea lady.

    sure

perhaps our views of what inference can be made from the term "juicy bit" is the difference.

This is what I wanted to clear up, others may have infered an unsavoury meaning - something I wanted to make sure people did not do. I wanted to make sure that they knew you were not being unduely biased against a network and to lead people to the perception that they were unprofessional - something I know you didn't want to do!
